Matcha is a traditional Japanese ceremonial tea. Matcha powder is ground from the finest Japanese green tea leaves and is extremely high in antioxidants because there are so many green tea leaves needed to make the powder.
It only takes 1/2 - 1 teaspoon for a cup of tea (based on your preferences) and whisk in water that is no more than 175 degrees. Whisk with a bamboo whisk in a zigzag motion until a smooth paste forms. Add more water for tea or milk for lattes.
