Matcha is a traditional Japanese ceremonial tea. Matcha powder is ground from the finest Japanese green tea leaves and is extremely high in antioxidants because there are so many green tea leaves needed to make the powder. It only takes 1/2 to 1 teaspoon for a cup of tea (based on your preferences) or to sprinkle in smoothies, use in icing or many other ways.
Whisk with a bamboo whisk in a zigzag motion until a smooth paste forms. Add the paste to your favorite smoothie and blend well. Can also be used in cooking and baking.
